Showrounds Calendar Integration
By connecting your existing calendar, your showround availability stays in sync automatically, helping you manage enquiries with less admin and more confidence.
What is Calendar Integration?
Calendar Integration connects your existing calendar (Google, Outlook, Apple Calendar or any CalDAV-compatible calendar) directly to Bridebook.
Once connected, Bridebook keeps both calendars in sync:
- Busy events in your connected calendar prevent couples from booking a viewing at that time.
- Confirmed showrounds booked through Bridebook are automatically added to your connected calendar.
- Any updates made in either calendar are reflected in the other, so you only need to manage one diary.
Setup takes just a couple of minutes, and you can disconnect your calendar at any time.
How it works:
After connecting your calendar, you'll be able to choose whether Bridebook checks for scheduling conflicts when couples request a viewing.
When conflict checking is enabled:
- Couples can only request showrounds during times your connected calendar is free.
- Any event marked as Busy in your calendar blocks that time in Bridebook.
- Events marked as Free do not block availability.
- Once a showround is confirmed, it is automatically added to your connected calendar.
You remain in complete control of your diary, as all availability is managed from your own calendar.
Works across your booking journeyCalendar Integration also works with your Website Widget.
Any availability shown on your Bridebook profile is mirrored on your embedded website widget, ensuring couples always see the same available viewing times, regardless of where they book.
This means you only have one availability schedule to maintain.
Key benefits:
Keep both calendars in sync
Events automatically sync between Bridebook and your connected calendar, reducing manual updates and ensuring your diary is always up to date.
Prevent diary clashes
Busy events in your connected calendar automatically block viewing slots, helping prevent double bookings.
Save time
Manage your schedule from one place rather than switching between multiple calendars.
Managing your showround availability
You decide when couples can book viewings by creating your available showround slots within Bridebook.
You can:
- Open your diary as far into the future as you'd like (the default is 60 days).
- Create recurring availability so your calendar rolls forward automatically.
- Choose the length of your viewing slots (15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes).
- Set how much notice couples need before booking. By default this is 36 hours, with a minimum of 24 hours.
We recommend keeping around 10 available viewing slots at any given time. This provides couples with enough choice while keeping your diary manageable.
Booking approvals
When a couple requests a viewing, you'll receive notifications through Couples Manager and by email.
Viewing requests are not automatically confirmed. You review each request before approving it, giving you full control over your schedule.
Once approved, the booking is added to your connected calendar automatically.
Couple Reminders
To help reduce no-shows, Bridebook automatically reminds couples about their upcoming viewing.
Couples receive both an email and SMS reminder 48 hours before their booking. If a viewing is booked less than 72 hours in advance, only an email reminder is sent.
If a couple doesn't reconfirm their attendance, the viewing remains booked. The reminder simply gives you visibility so you can decide whether you'd like to follow up before the appointment.
