Wedding Venue Costs: A Little Help from AI

 Understanding your venue pricing estimate:

Found a venue you love and wondering how it fits your budget? Bridebook’s AI Pricing gives you a starting estimate to help you explore your options and build your shortlist with more confidence.

How does it work?

AI Pricing uses information from venue brochures to estimate costs based on your selected package and details such as your number of day guests, wedding month and day of the week.

Prices may be fixed or per person, and can change by season. Check the wedding year, too: a venue may list separate pricing options for different years.

Your estimate is a starting point, not a confirmed quote. It focuses on the main package costs and required choices the tool can calculate from the information available.

What might affect the final price?

Every venue does things a little differently. Here are the main details to check:

  • Accommodation: Rooms are treated as optional in the estimate, even if the venue requires some to be booked. Ask which rooms are required and whether you or your guests would pay.
  • Evening guests and children: Separate evening-only guest rates and children’s prices aren’t currently factored in. The estimate uses the main day-guest pricing.
  • Special dates: Bank holiday surcharges and special Christmas, New Year or Easter rates aren’t included.
  • Extras and upgrades: Optional additions, such as fireworks or extra services, aren’t included in the estimate.
  • Minimum spends: A venue’s minimum food or drink spend isn’t applied automatically. This could mean the amount you need to spend is higher, particularly for a smaller wedding.
  • Guest allowances: Some fixed-price options cover a set number of people. Any charges for exceeding that allowance may not appear in your estimate.

Seasonal changes to individual menu or drinks choices may also be missing. And if a venue puts hire and catering prices in separate brochures, those costs won’t automatically be combined into one estimate.

How can I use my estimate?

Use it to get a feel for pricing and decide which venues you’d like to explore further. Before making any commitments, ask the venue for a personalised quote confirming your date, guest numbers, what’s included and any additional charges.

AI can sometimes misread pricing, especially when packages are complex. If something looks unexpected, check the brochure and ask the venue to clarify.

With a clearer idea of the costs, you can focus on the exciting part: finding the place to say “I do”!
