Spotting and Avoiding Scams & Impersonation Attempts

Bridebook is committed to ensuring that your experience on our platform is safe, transparent, and trustworthy.

Unfortunately, on occasion, external parties may attempt to impersonate Bridebook or present false opportunities that are not connected with our company. These may include unsolicited messages claiming you can earn money through 'Bridebook' tasks, or promotional activity that has not been authorised by us.

How to Spot an Impersonation Attempt

Fraudulent messages can be convincing. Look out for these common warning signs:

  1. Suspicious email addresses or profiles

    • Genuine Bridebook communication will always come from a @bridebook.co.uk/.com email domain or through the official Bridebook app.

    • Be cautious of emails from free providers (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo) or misspelled addresses (e.g. @brideb00k.co.uk).

  2. Requests for money or unusual payments

    • Bridebook will NEVER ask you to transfer money, purchase vouchers, or use non-standard payment methods.

    • Any demand for advance fees outside of normal venue or supplier booking deposits is a red flag.

  3. Too-good-to-be-true offers

    • Be wary of unexpected offers of payment, discounts, or “easy money” schemes connected to Bridebook. If it sounds unrealistic, it probably is.

  4. Pressure tactics

    • Scammers often try to create urgency, insisting you must act immediately or risk losing out. Bridebook will NEVER pressure you in this way.

  5. Unusual communication channels

    • Bridebook professionals will NOT contact you through WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or personal numbers at the start of your engagement.

    • Legitimate opportunities are always arranged within Bridebook, and when appropriate, via a verified video call.

  6. Requests for personal or login details

    • Bridebook will never ask you to share your password, bank account details, or identification documents outside the secure platform.
