When and why was Bridebook founded?

This is the tale of Hamish Shephard, the man who dared to dream of a wedding wonderland in 2015! 🌟💍

Aiming to revolutionise the UK wedding industry.

Hamish left a career in banking and charged toward the wedding industry, creating a revolution that he called Bridebook.

It all started with the grand transformation of his grandmother's home into a wedding venue for himself, a canvas for his vision. A journey that started with planning his own nuptials ended up blossoming into owning one of the UK's premier wedding venues.

Amidst that whole planning process, and the realisation of how convoluted wedding planning is, Hamish sensed a need for a more efficient digital tool. And so, Bridebook was born – where wedding businesses dance in the spotlight and couples bask in the joy of planning on their smartphones.

Hamish envisioned not just a platform but a journey where creativity, ease, and fun aligned for couples navigating wedding planning. The creation of Bridebook aimed to change the usual overwhelming journey into a joyous adventure, hopefully as delightful as the wedding day itself.

Hamish now also has his own Evening Standard column, Groom With a View, where he shares his insight as one of the UK’s most prominent wedding experts.
