With Message Templates, you can swiftly respond to couple inquiries directly within Bridebook, offering engaged couples the simplicity, clarity, and ease they crave during the exhilarating (albeit sometimes overwhelming) journey of planning their wedding day!

Discover the new "Quick Actions" section under enquiry messages.
Simply select one of your templates and paste it into the chat text field.

Click "Use a template" to access your template list.

Choose a template.
The template content will be automatically pasted into the chat's text field.
- Hit the blue arrow to send the message, and voilà!
How to Create a Message Template
Click "Manage templates" beneath your template list or select "Enquiry settings" on Your Enquiries page.
You'll find a list of your existing templates. To add a new one, click the green "Add" button.
A brief form will appear on the right side of your screen. Simply name your template (for personal reference) and craft your message. You can also attach files!
Automatically personalize each message with Smart Variables!
In the form, you'll notice certain words with a blue background and border. These are Smart Variables—segments of your message that will automatically populate with actual couple details when you utilize the template.
To insert a Smart Variable, click on one in the section above your message.
At present, you can choose from the following variables:
- Couple's names: Containing the first names of the couple, e.g., "Pedro and Ana"
- Wedding date: Either the couple's exact wedding date or their preferred date (e.g., "Summer 2024", "Saturday in Summer 2025", "17th Aug 2024")
- Number of guests: An estimated guest count provided by the couple.
Attach Files to Templates
You can include attachments, such as brochures or price lists, with your template.
When you use and send a template, these files will be automatically included with your message!
Simply drag and drop files into the bottom section of the form:
When selecting a template, you'll see the files beneath the message text field.
These files will be automatically sent with your message. You can still remove some attachments or modify the message if needed.
When sending a message, the attachments will take a moment to process. You'll see "Sending attachments" information.
Keep the inquiry page open until all files are sent and visible in the chat.

Tips & Tricks on Message Templates:
When using the Wedding Date Smart Variable, keep in mind it could be auto-filled with various options, such as:
- Exact date: e.g., 1st September 2023
- Range of days, months, and years: e.g., Monday - Thursday in July 2024
- Season and Year: e.g., Spring 2024
For example, you can write:
"Hi [Couple Name]!
We're thrilled to assist you in planning your wedding 🥳 You're considering [wedding date], which we can certainly accommodate!"
This format suits all time frames:
- "You're considering 1st September 2023, which we can certainly accommodate!"
- "You're considering Monday - Thursday in July 2024, which we can certainly accommodate!"
- "You're considering Spring 2024, which we can certainly accommodate!"
Avoid this format:
"Hi [Couple Name]!
We're excited to help you plan your wedding on [wedding date]."
It's best to craft a message that aligns with all potential variables, as failure to do so could read oddly, like:
"We're excited to help you plan your wedding on Thursday in July 2024" ➡️ (This sentence, for instance, sounds a bit awkward!)
"We're excited to help you plan your wedding on Spring 2024" ➡️ (And this one is grammatically incorrect!)
