Everything You Need to Know About RSVPs

Bridebook makes collecting RSVPs simple

Your personalised Wedding Website allows guests to respond online, so you can collect and track replies all in one place.

This guide explains exactly how it works, both for you and for your guests, with tips to keep everything smooth and stress-free.

✅ How It Works

Once your Wedding Website is live in the Bridebook app, you can:

  • Create your guest list
  • Customise your RSVP questions (dietary needs, travel plans, song requests and more)
  • Share your RSVP link by text, email or however you like
  • Track replies in real time as guests respond
  • View extra details that guests include
  • Edit or update guest info at any time
  • Message your guests directly via your inbox (perfect for reminders or sharing updates)

As guests respond, you’ll see live updates on who is attending, along with any additional details they provide.

👥 For Your Guests: A Simple Process

Here’s what your guests will experience when they RSVP:

1. Receive your RSVP link

You send your guests a direct link to your Wedding Website via text, email, or however you prefer.

2. Open the website

The link takes them straight to your Wedding Website, where they can view key details about your day, including:

  • Wedding date and location
  • Venue address and schedule
  • Accommodation information
  • Gift registry or wishlist

3. Tap the RSVP section

Guests tap the RSVP area to begin. No login or downloads are required.

4. Search for their name

Guests must enter their name exactly as it appears on your guest list.

Tip: If you’ve listed “Elizabeth Holmes”, entering “Liz Holmes” won’t work — the name must match exactly.

✨ RSVP for Groups & Plus-Ones (New)

5. View their party

Guests can now clearly see:

  • If they have any plus-ones
  • Other guests included in their group

6. Respond for themselves or others

Guests can:

  • RSVP for themselves
  • Switch between names to respond on behalf of others in their party

This means one person can now complete RSVPs for multiple guests in one simple flow.

7. See individual invitations

Each guest may have different event invitations (for example, ceremony vs evening reception), and these are shown clearly.

8. Submit and continue

After submitting their RSVP, guests can:

  • Go back and respond for other guests in their party
  • Edit responses if needed

9. Confirm

Once finished, guests can:

  • Save your event to their calendar
  • Email themselves a copy of their RSVP confirmation

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • Guests can now manage multiple RSVPs in one flow, making the process quicker and easier
  • Plus-ones are clearly visible and easier to respond for
  • Invitations are personalised per guest, so event access may differ

Name Matching Reminder:
Guests must enter their name exactly as it appears on your guest list. Even small differences (such as missing middle names, spelling changes, or extra spaces) may prevent them from finding their invite.

✨ Why Choose RSVP?

Using Bridebook’s Wedding Website:

  • Makes RSVPs quick and easy for guests
  • Keeps all guest information in one place
  • Removes the need to chase responses
  • Helps you stay organised without spreadsheets

This simple process saves time, reduces confusion, and keeps everything running smoothly — so you can focus on enjoying your big day 💙

Tip: Make sure all your guests are assigned to at least one event. If they aren’t invited to an event, their name won’t appear in the RSVP search.st 1 or all 'Events', not inviting them to an event would mean their name will not appear!
